03/02/12 | Junior Cricket Washed Out
04.45pm | A decision has been made to cancel all junior cricket for tomorrow too. The rain that we are experiencing now has confirmed that the fields will not be suitable for any play.
03/02/12 | Senior Cricket Washed Out
04.15pm | All senior cricket has been washed out for this weekend. That includes the APL T20 due to be played this evening, Saturday's competition games and Sunday's Northern Inland T20 Series.
03/02/12 | Junior Cricket - U9's and U11's Update
03.00pm | It has been decided that the U9's and U11's draws will commence from next weekend (11/2/12) and not this coming weekend. For those that are keen to play though, it is possible for teams to play tomorrow and use the 'suggested' draws that were distributed to clubs earlier this week. Listen to 2AD (after 7.00am news) or see posts on the ADCA website or Facebook each Saturday for cancellations if the weather looks like it could be disruptive.

02/02/12 | Junior Cricket ... Wet Weather Update
07.00pm | The weather has claimed another washout ..... junior cricket matches set down for tomorrow (Friday) afternoon have been called off. Saturday mornings matches are still pending and hopefully there will be a break in the weather so that the games can get underway.
02/02/12 | Northern Inland T20 Series Postponed
10.00am | The Northern Inland T20 series due to be played on Sunday has also been postponed but hopefully will be played in 3 weeks time, probably in Tamworth.
02/02/12 | Armidale Premier League T20 Postponed
10.00am | Friday nights APL T20 games have been postponed due to the ongoing wet weather but will be re-scheduled. The new date is yet to be announced.
01/02/12 | Armidale Junior Cricket Competition
09.00am | Junior cricket is due to resume this coming Friday (3/2/12) evening and Saturday (4/2/12) morning. The draw will be posted as soon as it is available.
01/02/12 | Armidale Premier League T20 Draw
09.00am | The APL T20 draw has now been posted and can be viewed by clicking on this link. The competition is due to commence this Friday, 3/2/12, with the first match getting underway at 5.30pm between Sportspower and Cricket New England, followed by McDonalds v Hutchinson & Harlow at 7.15pm. All APL T20 games will be played at the Sportsground.
28/01/12 | Senior Cricket Still On
09.30am | Some good news for a change .... all ADCA senior cricket is on, except for the game scheduled on Guyra turf, which has been washed out for this week. Also note that the game between TAS and Guyra 3rds has been moved from Moran Oval to Newling. It will be up to each umpire when play will commence i.e. start on time or delayed until later in the afternoon, but at this time all grounds, except those mentioned above, are suitable for play.
28/01/12 | APL T20 Franchise Teams
09.30am | The APL T20 Franchises selected their teams on Wednesday night, and it looks like they will be evenly matched. The team lists can be seen here. The competition is due to start this coming Friday and the draw and other details will be posted as soon as possible. A big thanks must go out to the four franchises, Sportspower Armidale, McDonalds Armidale, Hutchinson & Harlow Real Estate and Cricket New England for their support. This is the third season that this competition has been played and has always provided plenty of entertainment and action, and this year should prove to be no different.
26/01/12 | One Day & T20 Finals Postponed
09.00am | Unfortunately all ADCA One Day and T20 finals due to be played today, 26 Jan 2012, have had to be postponed. The games will be re-scheduled though and a new date will be announced as soon as possible.
24/01/12 | APL T20 Franchise Team Selections 25/01/12
09.00pm | Team selections for this years APL T20 competition will be held at the Armidale City Bowling Club on Wednesday, 25 January starting at 7.00pm and light refreshments will be supplied. Team sponsors are McDonalds, Sportspower, Hutchinson & Harlow and New England Cricket Academy and approximately 80 players have made themselves available for selection. The competition is due to commence on Friday, 3rd February. More details will be posted as soon as they are available.
24/01/12 | One Day and T20 Finals on Australia Day
09.00pm | The One Day and T20 competition finals will be played on Australia Day. A double header will be played at the Sportsground with Easts v Hillgrove in 1st Grade (One Dayer - 3.45pm start) and Hillgrove v Ex Services (One Dayer - 10.00am start). In the lower grades Hillgrove v Guyra in 3rd Grade (T20 - 1.15pm, Rologas No. 1) and Hillgrove v Uralla (T20 - 1.15pm, Newling No. 1). It should be a great day of cricket and we've got our fingers crossed that the weather holds out. Drinks and BBQ will be available at the Sportsground.
07/01/12 | Walter Taylor Shield Carnival Commences - Monday, 09/01/2012
11.00am | The 2012 Walter Taylor Shield U15's Carnival starts this Monday and it looks like it will be an action packed carnival again this year with competing teams coming from Sydney, Hunter Valley, Ballina and Tamworth. The full draw and details are available on this website. Good luck to the Armidale boys, who will have to play at their best over the 4 days to bring home the Shield! The Walter Taylor Shield Carnival has a long and proud history that dates back more than 20 years, with many of the competing players going on to achieve higher representative honours, including some playing First Class cricket.

09.00pm | The U15 game Guyra v Hillgrove (Friday) and 4th grade match Hillgrove v Ex Services (Saturday) have been transferred due to the condition of Elizabeth Park. The U15's will now play on Newling North and the 4th grade game will be played on Newling South.

10.00pm | There have been some ground changes that affect games scheduled for this weekend (5/11/11) and next weekend (12/11/11). Please check the SportStatz draw to see if your team has been affected.
19/10/11 | Masters Game - Assistance Required By All Clubs
10.00pm | It was decided at the ADCA Monthly Meeting tonight that each club will be allocated times to man the entrance gate on Sunday, 23/10/11. Each club will need to provide 4 people to assist. The times allocated are as follows - 10.00 - 11.00am Hillgrove; 11.00 - 12.00pm Servies; 12.00 - 1.00pm Easts; 1.00 - 2.00pm City; 2.00 - 3.00pm Uralla/Guyra; 3.00 - 4.00pm St Kilda. Duties include collecting entrance fees and ensuring that no alcohol is brought into the ground (under any circumstance). The Associations' liquor licence stipulates that this policy is adhered to. In addition to manning the gate help will be needed for a number of tasks, both early in the morning and during the course of the day. It was agreed that helpers meet at the Sportsground at 8.00am to assist in setting up the ground and facilities before the crowds started to arrive. Can all clubs please organise players to help during the course of the day. Thanks.

11.00pm | The Junior Draws for the U9's, U11's, U13's and U15's are now available via the menu options. Games will commence this weekend.
15/10/11 | Australian Cricketers' Association - Armidale Masters Tour
06.00pm | Armidale has capitalised on the wonderful opportunity to host the ACA Masters Tour from Saturday, 22nd October until Monday, 24th October. The weekend commences with an 18 hole four ball golf competition where there are opportunites to play alongside some of our renowned former international and state cricketers. On Saturday evening the Armidale Golf Club will host the Sportsman's Dinner, which promises to be a fun filled night. The action really heats up on Sunday when the Masters team plies its trade in a Twenty20 match against the Supreme Country Armidale Invitational team, which will consist of some of our very talented cricketers. The game commences 2.30pm at the Armidale Sportsground and will be preceded by a Twenty20 match played between local adversaries the Armidale and Tamworth U19's teams. The U19's game will commence at 11.00am. Sunday promises to be a great day with plenty of action, with drinks and food available at the ground. Entry will be $5 for adults and free for children. This will be a day not to be missed, so save this date and encourage your family and friends to come along and be entertained by some big names in cricket.
15/10/11 | Australian Cricketers' Association - Armidale Masters Tour Team
06.00pm | There will be a number of big name players that will put their reputations on the line on Sunday, 23rd October when the Masters Team play the Supreme Country Armidale Invitational team in a Twenty20 match at the Armidale Sportsground. Former Australian internationals cricketers Brad Hogg, Matthew Elliott, Ray Bright, Peter Sleep, Jim Maher, Greg Matthews, Greg Ritchie and Ryan Campbell will form the nucleus of the Masters Team. A great weekend of activites will be assured, culminating in the Twenty20 match on Sunday.

10/08/11 | Bradman Coaching Clinic Returns To Armidale, September School Holidays
10.00pm | After a highly successful clinic held in Armidale last year, the Bradman Foundation will be returning during the upcoming September school holidays (see here for more information)

The Bradman Foundation have, since 1989, run residential and non-residential cricket coaching clinics and camps in Bowral, NSW, instructing our young future cricketers in our national game. The Foundation's dedication is to educate not only the technical and physical requirements but incorporating the mental and tactical with emphasis on "The spirit of the game". The Foundations ACB accredited Level 3 and Level 2 coaching staff head the team, with occasional visits from our State and National players to encourage our young girls and boys. 03/08/11 | ADCA Junior Rep. Trial Dates, 11th September 2011
10.00pm | Players serious on a trying out for the ADCA Junior Rep. teams should start to think about getting some pre-season practice underway. The representative trials will be held from 10am - 12noon on Sunday, 11th September 2011 at the following venues;
  • - U12's & U14' at Harris Park
  • - U16's at the Sportsground
  • It would be great to see as many players at the trials as possible, especially those that are keen on improving their personal game. This years' rep. calendar is shaping up to be a strong one with games against some very good opposition teams assured.

    02/08/11 | ADCA AGM Agenda Item - "Judiciary Guidelines"
    10.00pm | A notice of motion will be put forward at the ADCA 2011 AGM, to be held on Wednesday, 24 August, regarding the implementation of a formal procedure for handling player disciplinary offences. The attached document contains the current guidelines used by the Tamworth & District Cricket Association for dealing with their players' disciplinary offences and it is suggested that the ADCA implements a similar procedure.
